OLD BUSINESS

Reviewing the requirement for more webpage space - We now are paying a yearly subscription for webspace on a local server.

 

NEW BUSINESS

Club Executive – There is opportunity for member to take up positions on the executive.

The President (Terry Hogan) and the Treasurer (Mike Smith) indicated they will not be standing in those positions and these will need to be filled in November. 
Additionally, the other Executive positions could be open if Club members are interested in helping out the Club by being part of the executive.  
The official election and turnover will be at the Annual General Meeting in November. 
However, if any of the members are interested, let the President know.  It is important to do so for the sake of continuity. 

Membership Renewal – Terry Hogan presented for discussion to consider setting renewal dates from 1 November – 31 October for a membership year.  It was unanimously accepted.

Permission by members to post info on the Club’s website – The permission will be added to the Registration form for both the renewal and new member’s Registration form.

Review of Annual t-shirt for Each Member – It was suggested that perhaps we can use another type of memorabilia for our members on renewal. Kathy Russell and Dave Walker will be investigating and will provide an update at September’s  meeting.

Event - Rolling Road – Alan Margison suggested we book some time for our members on the Rolling Roads.  He will investigate and report on costs involved.

Richard reports there are no new updates from other clubs to add to the events calendar from last month.

15th Regular Meeting at Richard and Kathy’s home: A separate  email will be sent out with the particulars.

MINI MEET WEST

A final letters going out and the MMW 2010 event should be finalised for a report at next meeting.

OLD BUSINESS

Discussion on whether to increase our bandwidth capability for the website.  Approx $40.00 would be needed to increase our present bandwidth. Discussion was brought up to do Queensland Mini club wanted to do a reciprocal link. We have had increased hits on our website and should look at increasing our bandwidth. 

Bandwidth problem solved by linking our web page to a free web provider.

Mike Smith reports we now have less than $1000.00 in the bank. All the bills are not in but it looks like we will not lose money from MMW.

Mini Meet West

Mike Smith brought everyone up to speed on MMW.  Also reported we had 120 cars that participated (200 people) for MMW.

Other comments on how everything went:

Registration was flawless

Car show was great

Pictures was excellent

Funkhana was lots of fun and enjoyed by all

Auto Cross was a tight course and ran great

Rally was easy and no one got lost

Banquet went smooth Started at 5:30 for 6:00 and ended at 8:30 just in time for our fire works display which was right across the street from the hotel.

Cudos to all the volunteers and special thanks to Mike and Terry

Our club brought home 12 trophies from the event. Well done and congratulations to all.

Next years MMW is in Lake Tahoe
